Salvation Army Food Bank: Rice and Noodle Donation Initiative
“Oodles & Oodles of Rice and Noodles!”
The Salvation Army Food Bank, located on Presto Lane in Jackson, serves the communities of Hinds, Copiah, Madison, Rankin, Scott, Warren, and Yazoo Counties. The Food Bank assembles food bags for seniors, grandparents raising grandchildren, and families in need. Each bag is intended to include rice and/or spaghetti noodles, accompanied by a can of spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, or tomato sauce. Please note that only 1-pound packages of rice or noodles are accepted—large or bulk packages cannot be divided and therefore are not suitable for donation. All donated items must remain in their original packaging. Consistently including these products in every distributed bag underscores the ongoing need for rice and noodles throughout the year. Peanut butter donations are always appreciated!
